Located in the heart of the Lane’s in Brighton , The Werks Central Studios is a flexible office space, incorporating two performance spaces, an exhibition gallery, a client garden and a licensed bar. The different spaces can be used for exhibitions, trade shows, performances, book launches, workshops, networking events, yoga lessons or art fairs, with seating for up to 60 people.
BHESCo has collaborated with The Werks Group to install a 48 panel solar array on the roof of the building, which will generate around 12,700kW hours of energy per year, or around 1/10th of the premises’ annual energy needs. Additionally, we will replace the existing lighting system with 261 energy saving LED lightbulbs, which we expect will reduce energy consumption by 50% .

LED lighting. LEDs use less energy than filament or fluorescent lighting. They emit less heat and fewer non-visible frequencies.
We estimate that the 12kW solar array on the roof will save the company around £1,000 a year on their energy bills, and 5.5 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. Moreover, we expect the new energy saving LED lighting system to lower bills by about £3,000 a year, saving a further 16 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere.
