BHESCo is working to support Smart Energy GB, the organisation established by the government to spread the word about the national rollout of smart meters.
The rollout is happening across Great Britain between now and the end of 2020. The goal is to install over 53 million smart meters in over 30 million homes and businesses.
Smart meters will revolutionise the way UK customers pay for and use our energy. They will lead the way to helping us take more control over our energy bills.

You’ll be able to switch easily between prepayment, credit, and Economy 7 meter types
When you can get a smart meter depends on several different factors, including the age of your existing meter, your location, and the type of home in which you live. Your energy supplier will be in touch when your smart meter is ready to be installed, or you can contact your energy supplier directly to find out if you can order a smart meter or when they will be installing in your community.
