BHESCo is a Big Energy Saving Network Champion!
The Big Energy Saving Network 2014/15 (BESN), a £1 million programme to support third sector organisations and community groups deliver energy reduction advice to vulnerable consumers, has been launched by DECC. The programme of outreach is being led by 160 specially trained Champions, who will go on to deliver training to front line workers and volunteers so they can all go on and deliver advice to vulnerable consumers on energy usage, fuel costs, energy efficiency and thermal comfort, switching energy suppliers and types of energy tariffs.
BHESCo is excited have been chosen as one of the 16 Champions across Sussex, that will be training front line workers and meeting with the public between now and March 2015.
The BESN is a fantastic way of making energy advice accessible to vulnerable people in the community. The programme aims for each Champion to train 40 volunteers and for each volunteer to reach 100 people.
