We work in the Brighton and Hove area to help make energy affordable to the local community, by offering a range of money-saving and energy-saving services. We have outlined here some of the best ways in which we can support you, working towards our goal to ensure all can have access to clean, sustainable and affordable energy.

Warm Home Discount

We offer free and informative advice regarding the warm home discount offered by some energy suppliers. This plan offers a discount of £140 to some eligible customers so you can save over the winter period.

Switching

As an organisation we are dedicated to finding the best possible energy deals for all UK households. We advise shopping around and avoiding standard tariffs, which are the set tariffs an energy supplier will give you as a default. Fixed tariffs are usually a better and cheaper alternative.

We can also offer advice on which energy suppliers offer the best customer services and which should be avoided.

Priority Services Register

This is a service provided by the UKPN (UK Power Networks). They provide extra support for those who need it in the case of a powercut. This can provide you with extra care and support in the event of a power cut such as hot meals, a dedicated priority telephone service, and even an overnight stay in a hotel.

Free Home Survey

In partnership with the Brighton & Hove City Council, BHESCo offer free surveys for energy improvements to local homes. This increases access to information about saving money on energy alongside improving living conditions by tackling issues such as damp and cold. We then offer crucial support in identifying the cause of these issues and taking action to fix them.

Since 2016, BHESCo has helped to collectively save £50,000 on energy bills for those living in the Brighton & Hove area.
