Solar Powered Communities Competition
Vote for your neighbourhood to become the next Solar Power Community in Sussex.
BHESCo is thrilled to launch its Solar Powered Communities Programme, bringing sustainable solar solutions to homes across Sussex.
With funding to support three communities across Sussex, this programme will engage six hundred households, helping residents discover how solar energy can save money, reduce carbon emissions, and make their communities greener and more sustainable.
If your community is selected, participating households could benefit from:
- Expert advice on solar opportunities for your homes.
- Free surveys to see if your property is suitable for solar panels.
- No cost solar panels and battery storage systems for your house.
- Tailored information on potential energy and cost savings.
- Community events and workshops to get involved and learn more.

The neighbourhoods listed below have been selected by BHESCo’s project team based on suitability criteria, including household energy use and heating type, rooftop solar potential, available space, and local socio-economic factors. These parameters help us ensure that the programme delivers the greatest benefit to households and communities.
